Role purpose

You will be the engine behind the AI Foundry and the Machine Learning platform-our suite of tools enabling the organisation to build AI agents and ML models faster and safer. You will support the scaling of our MLOps capabilities and the adoption of our AI tools (Portkey, N8N). This is a high-growth role where you will receive mentorship on product strategy but are expected to own the execution and discovery.

Complexity:

Complex global role blending digital product management, delivery and user feedback for digital products serving internal users and technical teams across Syngenta. Expected to grow within the role balancing and properly prioritizing customer and internal requirements. Must learn the business and most important elements of product delivery and development. Close connection to the development teams is essential.

Accountabilities

Discovery and user research:

Act as the "voice of the builder". Talk to internal teams building agents or ML models to understand their blockers in using our central tools and their emerging needs for new products

Product execution:

Own the backlog for the AI Foundry and ML Platform together with the Tech Leads. Write high-level epics backed by insights from user research for the engineering teams to break down into technical user stories

Enablement:

Help drive the adoption of N8N, Portkey, SageMaker and other tools by identifying gaps in documentation, templates and user experience

Collaboration:

Bridge the gap between the technical engineering teams and the business users who might be less tech-savvy but have high-value use cases

Market Knowledge:

Keep up to speed on innovations in the Databricks and Data Mesh landscape and needs both internally and externally; understanding market trends and influencing factors. Maintain a working knowledge on key hyperscalers, their advancements, and their products, including key value proposition, target audience and potential value impact. Be recognised as an expert on the Product and share the story and vision of our Data Mesh both internally and externally.

Knowledge, experience & capabilities

Experience:

3+ years managing an ML/AI Product. We are open to strong BAs with 5+ years of experience in the ML/AI space who want to transition into Product Management

Learning agility:

You must be a fast learner. Knowledge of GenAI/Machine Learning is highly desired, but a strong willingness to master these domains quickly is essential.

Research skills:

Ability to interview users, synthesise feedback and distinguish between "what they ask for" (e.g., a specific model) and "what they need" (e.g., better reasoning capabilities)

Structured thinking:

Ability to organise complex technical requirements into a prioritised backlog of epics

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, or related field
