Role Overview:



We are seeking an experienced

Product Manager - General Insurance Systems

to manage change requests (CRs), system enhancements, and cross-functional coordination across IT, business, and operations teams. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the general insurance domain, proven experience in insurance system implementation, and the ability to drive business value through effective product and system management.

Key Responsibilities:



1. Product & Change Management



Manage and prioritize change requests (CRs) and enhancements for insurance platforms and applications. Work closely with business users to gather, analyze, and document functional requirements. Translate business needs into clear technical requirements and coordinate with IT/development teams for implementation. Ensure timely delivery of CRs with proper testing, documentation, and sign-offs.

2. Cross-Functional Collaboration



Act as the primary liaison between business, IT, vendors, and operations teams. Facilitate effective communication to ensure alignment of system functionality with business objectives. Support multiple teams simultaneously, ensuring smooth delivery of system changes and product releases.

3. Systems Development & Support



Oversee the development, maintenance, and enhancement of insurance systems. Support the integration of new systems or modules with existing platforms. Monitor system performance and coordinate troubleshooting or issue resolution with relevant teams.

4. Process & Documentation



Develop and maintain standard operating procedures (SOPs) for system use, change management, and testing. Ensure all system-related documentation (user guides, change logs, release notes) is up to date. Promote best practices in system governance, version control, and quality assurance.

5. Technology & Innovation



Keep abreast of industry trends and new technologies relevant to general insurance systems. Propose innovative solutions to enhance operational efficiency and user experience. Prepare business cases for new tools, features, or technology initiatives.

Qualifications & Experience:



Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Information Systems, or related field. Minimum 5+ years of experience in IT service delivery or product management roles. Proven experience in general insurance systems, including implementation, configuration, and support. Strong understanding of policy administration, claims, underwriting, and accounting modules. Experience managing cross-functional teams and vendors. Familiarity with data architecture, integration, and reporting systems is an advantage.

Preferred:



Experience with insurance core platforms (e.g., Guidewire, Premia, Duck Creek, or similar). Understanding of regulatory and compliance requirements in general insurance. Certification in Product Management or Project Management (e.g., PMP, CSPO, Agile).
