Product managers at Tesco are passionate about solving problems. They take accountability for their products and are empowered to drive the product strategy roadmap and outcomes. Driven by curiosity and innovation they work with Engineering Programme Data UX and business partners to solve problems and add new value for our Colleagues & Business globally.

We are looking for Backend (e.g. API business logic & algorithms) focused product managers to deliver critical products underpinning our digital products and enabling the Colleague Lifecycle.

In this job I

  • Have accountability for features within a complex product domain and help drive product vision roadmap and execution
  • Relentlessly seek to understand the needs and pain points of my customers and business stakeholders
  • Prioritise roadmaps with multiple optimisation criteria and decisively resolve trade-offs with peers and senior leaders
  • Proactively partner with peers and senior stakeholders to help set the future direction of my product as part of the wider business strategy.
  • Effectively outline and explain new product needs to the engineering team using user stories with personas and acceptance tests and help the team in breaking down a complex piece of work/ epic into smaller deliverable chunks of value that can be delivered faster.
  • Steer sprint/ release planning sessions by working with the engineering counterparts to plan sprints/ releases that deliver maximum business value in least effort.
