Job Description

Key Role Responsibilities:

Support Engine Selection, Perform Installation Quality Design (soft level integration) Lead in prototype build of vehicles & Validation, Complete Vehicle level trials Troubleshooting Vehicle level issues related with engine Certification Extension activities Follow up with customer for Installation Quality Assurance (physical integration) & complete engineering sign off Develop new sub system components with sourcing Vehicle level Controls Integration, Wiring Harness & Controls Design Travel to customer location - (mines, rail yard, construction sites oil fields, farms, factories) Interact with dealer / customer / OEM Take measurements of the machine / engine / engine room / piping, take photographs of equipment, Study and take info from manuals etc. Sensor fitments on the engine / equipment, Carry out trials as per guidelines. Guide dealer / vendor / customer team for integrating the engine on equipment Resolve issues of fouling, abnormal noise, engine not starting / not taking load / hunting etc. including fault codes in case of electronic engines Support in integration of after treatment / control harness with support from respective department / controls team.

Skills and Experience Required:

Educational Qualification: Degree / Diploma in Mechanical/ Electrical / Electronic Engineering. Experience Range - 3 to 4 years of relevant experience in Vehicle integration & testing. Should have good Product knowledge of Engine sub-systems such as Air intake, fuel, exhaust, and engine cooling. Experience in conducting tests for Engine Cooling system and should be able to do Thermal mapping. Good experience in Application Engineering role. He should have good communication skills and day-to-day interactions with Customer. Have basic knowledge of excel / Word / PowerPoint. Know how on product data management tools preferred, Release PO etc.
