Job Description

Key Responsibilities



1. Product Design & Development



Design and develop bearings (ball, roller, tapered, cylindrical, thrust, etc.) based on customer and application requirements. Create engineering drawings, 3D models, and technical specifications. Select appropriate materials, heat-treat processes, lubrication systems, and tolerances.

2. Application Engineering



Understand customer requirements, load conditions, speed, environment, and duty cycles to recommend suitable bearing solutions. Conduct bearing life calculations (L10, L10h) and performance analysis.

3. Testing & Validation



Plan and execute product testing including endurance testing, noise & vibration analysis, friction/torque testing, and environmental performance. Analyze test results and implement design improvements.

4. Process & Manufacturing Support



Collaborate with manufacturing teams on tooling, machining, grinding, heat treatment, and assembly processes. Resolve production issues and ensure manufacturability of new designs.

5. Quality & Compliance



Ensure adherence to ISO, ASTM, and industry-specific bearing standards. Conduct root-cause analysis (RCA) and corrective action plans for quality failures.

6. Cost Optimization



Drive cost reduction through design modifications, material optimization, and process improvements. Support value engineering (VE) and value analysis (VA) initiatives.

7. Documentation & Reporting



Maintain detailed engineering documents--BOMs, drawings, failure analysis reports, PPAP documentation, and test reports. Provide technical support to sales and customer service teams.

Required Skills & Competencies



Strong understanding of bearing design principles, tribology, and material science. Proficiency in CAD tools (SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Creo, or similar). Knowledge of GD&T, tolerance stack-up, and engineering calculations. Familiarity with heat treatment, forging, machining, and grinding processes. Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities. Good communication skills and ability to interact with clients and cross-functional teams.
Job Type: Contractual / Temporary

Pay: ₹700,000.51 - ₹1,600,000.12 per year
