The candidate will manage development cycles, coordinate with design teams, interface with customers, work with vendors, ensure accurate documentation, and drive innovation in product and process development.
Key Responsibilities
Execute all development activities as per
Product Development Procedure Manual
and SOPs.
Maintain
accurate chain-wise sample records
, update archives, and organise samples for quick retrieval.
Verify design files for software compatibility; coordinate with the internal Design Team for corrections or nearest-match artwork; obtain buyer approval.
Manage
sampling within committed lead time
; escalate delays immediately.
Prepare complete
PAR documentation
(SRF, work order, samples, lab reports, PAR details, costing sheet) and obtain approvals from HOD & MD before sending to customer/buyer/offshore teams.
Visit existing and new
suppliers
to expand sourcing options; evaluate capabilities and negotiate competitive pricing.
Coordinate
independent laboratory testing
for labels and trims at negotiated rates; ensure timely receipt of reports.
Drive
new product innovation
and support process improvements.
Submit daily development updates to HOD; monthly
Sampling & Hit Rate Reports
to MD & HOD.
Ensure approved PAR sheets are handed over to
QA and Production
for execution.
Required Qualification
Candidates with the following educational background will be preferred:
B.Sc / M.Sc in Textile Technology, Garment Technology, Fashion & Apparel Production
BE / B.Tech in Textile Engineering / Printing Technology
Diploma in Textile/Printing Technology with relevant experience
.
Ability to read artworks, specifications, customer tech packs.
Basic working knowledge of
Adobe Illustrator / CorelDraw
(preferred but not mandatory).
Strong documentation, costing, and data accuracy skills.
Supplier and vendor management capability.
