Job Description

Study customer drawings/specifications and convert them into manufacturable fabrication drawings Develop new components, frames, booms, chassis, sub-assemblies for construction equipment Material selection for MS plates, pipes, sections as per load and application Optimize thickness, weight, and cost without compromising strength Prepare 3D models & 2D drawings (AutoCAD / SolidWorks / Creo)Define manufacturing processes: laser cutting, bending, machining, tack welding, full welding Decide welding sequence, jigs & fixtures to control distortion Develop SOPs, process flow, and inspection stages Support trial production and first-off approval Verify raw material specifications (IS, EN, ASTM grades) Coordinate raw material testing and review test certificates Ensure compliance with WPS, PQR, welding standards Address weld defects, dimensional deviations, rework reduction Strong knowledge of MS heavy fabrication & welding Drawing reading & GD&T Knowledge of IS / EN standards Costing & manufacturing feasibility
