Job Description

We are looking for a highly creative and technically skilled Product Designer with a strong background in designing educational kits for the EdTech industry, particularly those involving robotics kits built using metallic and mechanical components. The ideal candidate should be passionate about hands-on STEM learning and capable of translating complex concepts into intuitive, durable, and learner-friendly product designs.

Key Responsibilities:

Design and develop metallic and mechanical part-based educational robotics kits for school and hobbyist use. Collaborate with curriculum, electronics, and content teams to create kits that align with learning goals. Create 2D drawings, 3D CAD models, and exploded views for manufacturing and assembly. Prototype, test, and iterate on mechanical designs for usability, safety, and cost-efficiency. Select appropriate materials (e.g., aluminum, steel, alloys) suitable for classroom or DIY use. Ensure designs are modular, reusable, and easy to assemble by students and educators. Work with suppliers/vendors for part sourcing, cost estimation, and production timelines. Maintain comprehensive documentation including BOM, assembly manuals, and technical specifications.
