Summary

The Product Designer will develop innovative products from concept to production, focusing on functionality, manufacturability, and user experience. This role requires creativity, technical proficiency, and collaboration with cross-functional teams to deliver commercially viable and customer-centric products.

Responsibilities

Identify opportunities for new products and improvements to existing ones through market research and user feedback. Develop and refine product concepts through sketches, 3D models, and prototypes using CAD and modeling software. Collaborate with engineering, manufacturing, and marketing teams to ensure designs meet practical requirements, quality standards, and customer needs. Test and validate prototypes for functionality, quality, and usability, and iterate as needed. Prepare detailed drawings, design specifications, parts lists, and documentation for production teams. Research materials, technologies, manufacturing processes, and competitors to inform design decisions. Present product ideas and prototypes to stakeholders, incorporating feedback into final designs. Manage multiple projects, ensuring deadlines and budgets are met.
Requirements

Bachelor's degree in Industrial Design, Product Design, Engineering, or a related field. Experience with CAD/3D modeling software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD). Strong creative, visual, and problem-solving skills. Good understanding of manufacturing processes and materials. Effective communication and teamwork abilities. Prior experience in product design or manufacturing is preferred.
