Role Overview:
We are seeking a talented and experienced Product Designer to join our team at Jollee. This role will focus on designing strollers and other mobility products for children, ensuring they meet the highest standards of safety, development, and fun. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in product design, particularly in the mobility space, with a deep understanding of ergonomics tailored to children of different ages, sizes, and needs.
Key Responsibilities:
Stroller Design and Development:
Lead the design and development of innovative products, ensuring they meet the needs of children and parents.
Create detailed design specifications, sketches, and prototypes to communicate design concepts effectively.
Mobility Product Design:
Design and develop other mobility-related products for children, maintaining a focus on safety, functionality, and aesthetic appeal.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure product designs align with brand values and user needs.
Ergonomic Considerations:
Apply a deep understanding of ergonomics to create products that are comfortable, safe, and appropriate for children of various ages, sizes, and physical needs.
Conduct user research and usability testing to validate design decisions and improve product usability.
Material and Manufacturing Processes:
Select appropriate materials and manufacturing processes that ensure product safety, durability, and sustainability.
Work closely with manufacturing partners to oversee the production process and ensure quality standards are met.
User-Centered Design Approach:
Utilize a user-centred design approach to create empathetic and intuitive products that enhance the parenting experience.
Gather and analyze user feedback to continuously improve product designs.
Industry Trends and Innovation:
Stay up-to-date with industry trends, new technologies, and best practices in product design, particularly in the children's products and mobility sectors.
Innovate and propose new product ideas that align with Jollee's mission and values.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Product Design, Industrial Design, or a related field.
Proven experience in product design, specifically in mobility products; experience in the children's category is highly desirable.
Strong portfolio demonstrating expertise in designing products with a focus on safety, ergonomics, and user experience.
Deep understanding of ergonomic principles as they apply to children of different ages, sizes, and physical needs.
Proficiency in design software such as CAD, Adobe Creative Suite, and other relevant tools.
Excellent problem-solving skills and a creative mindset.
Strong communication and collaboration skills, with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.
Passion for children's products and a commitment to creating safe, innovative, and fun products for kids.
