The Role Responsibilities

Job Role

As Senior Designer you will be responsible for the client experience of CCIB Credit Transformation Project; this means you\xe2\x80\x99ll be tasked with designing highly functional digital tools and services to support and meet the goals of our Corporate and Institutional Business. You will have experience designing products in domains such as fintech and or large corporate banking platforms.

You will internalise complex information about products and services to make them understandable to real humans like you and us. Since this role is fully focused on solving problems for customers and business alike, it requires empathy and business understanding in equal parts.

What you will do?

  • You will be a close and trusted partner to the product owner and business owner to understand their needs, goals and what makes a difference to them. As a senior candidate you will use your knowledge and skill to help them define and refine problem statements.
  • You will use your entrepreneurial spirit and ability to be hands-on. Drive, grit and the ability to evangelise the significance of user experience is an important skill for any senior team member to affect the change we\xe2\x80\x99re after.
  • You\xe2\x80\x99ll create the vision for a standout user experience across all products and services and drive its realisation with the larger design team, business, and tech.
  • You use wireframes to express your vision and seek alignment and deliver the final flows with applied components from our design system.

Business
  • Work collaboratively with designers and product team members to identify, prioritize and conduct user research using appropriate quantitative and qualitative techniques such as usability testing, remote moderated and unmoderated studies, performance benchmarks, competitive benchmarks, structured surveys, user interviews, focus groups, ethnographic research, contextual inquiry, concept testing, card sorting and tree testing.
  • Collaborate closely with other researchers, designers, product managers, data scientists, marketing and operations managers, and engineers to ensure research you deliver is integrated into every aspect of the product and provides a holistic view of our users.
  • Generate actionable insights that help shape product and business decisions and communicate the user insights in compelling ways through written reports and in-person presentations to stakeholders.
  • Demonstrate problem solving skills and the ability to quickly develop recommendations based on quantitative and qualitative evidence.
  • Be the consumer\'s voice and champion within the organisation and build customer centricity in all our product building initiatives.
  • Work in a fast-paced environment, designing and implementing research that effectively answers key business questions.
  • Manage multiple workstreams with varying timelines and complexity with authority and passion.
  • Create methodologies that align to the needs of the organisation.
  • Deliver quality work with light managerial supervision.
People and Talent
  • Designing and conducting generative and evaluative user research using qualitative (field observations, remote and in-person usability studies and interviews) and quantitative methods (surveys).
  • Ability and desire to keep challenging yourself and others with entrepreneurial attitude and passion for observing human behaviour, identifying team biases and surfacing these with grit.
  • Understanding for regional diversity and ability to advise on solutions that best suit all.
Regulatory and Business Conduct

  • Effectively and collaboratively identify, escalate, mitigate and resolve risk, conduct and compliance matters.

Our Ideal Candidate
  • Bachelors degree in Liberal Arts, Business, Communications, Human Computer Interaction, Information Design, Interaction Design, Psychology or a related field (or equivalent practical experience) MBA or MA preferred.
  • 6 - 8 years of experience in designing and executing qualitative and quantitative research studies including moderation, analysis and final report presentation to stakeholders.
  • Experience driving projects from initiation to delivery, defining the business value gained with the program and utilising this with stakeholders for buy-in.
  • Enthusiasm for tackling the large cultural shift necessary to establish a design practice.
  • Experience integrating user research into an agile product development process.
  • Experience participating in the Design process and practicing Design Thinking.
