Product Design Engineer
Primarily responsible for, designing, and developing new products or improving existing ones to meet customer needs and market demands. This role involves working closely with cross-functional teams including marketing, manufacturing, and quality assurance to ensure that the final product is both functional and aesthetically appealing, while also being manufacturable and cost-effective.
Key duties include creating detailed design drawings and specifications, selecting suitable materials, and utilising computer-aided design (CAD) software for modelling and simulation. Product Design Engineers also conduct rigorous testing and prototyping to validate their designs and make necessary adjustments based on feedback and performance data.
In addition, they must stay updated with industry trends, technological advancements, and customer preferences. Their problem-solving skills, creativity, and technical expertise play a crucial role in delivering innovative products that align with organisational goals and enhance user experience.
