About the Role:

We are seeking a skilled and self-driven

Product Design & Development Engineer

to join our team focused on high-volume, fast-moving electronic devices. The core focus of this role is not blue-sky innovation, but smart replication and enhancement of "me-too" products -- products that already exist in the market. The candidate should be capable of conducting thorough research, analyzing existing solutions (both online and offline), and delivering improved design iterations that are more efficient, reliable, and production-friendly.

Key Responsibilities:

Study and benchmark high-volume electronic products already available in the market to understand design, materials, and functionality. Replicate and enhance existing product designs through reverse engineering and structured iteration. Create comprehensive 3D models and 2D manufacturing drawings using CAD/CAM tools. Lead mechanical design efforts independently from concept to prototype. Coordinate with vendors, toolmakers, and internal manufacturing teams for sample development and design finalization. Ensure that designs are optimized for manufacturability, assembly, and cost efficiency. Incorporate electrical and electronic component layouts as required (preferred). Create and manage BOMs, design documentation, and revision histories. Stay current with product trends, materials, and emerging technologies relevant to the segment.

Requirements:

Bachelor's Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Mechatronics, or related field. 3-6 years of hands-on experience in mechanical design of high-volume products. Must have strong command of CAD/CAM software (e.g., SolidWorks, AutoCAD, Fusion 360, etc.). Strong grasp of manufacturing processes, materials, tolerances, and DFM principles. Excellent reverse engineering skills -- ability to study a sample and recreate an improved version. Ability to work independently and deliver complete, ready-for-manufacturing designs. Preferred: Knowledge of electrical and electronic component integration in product design. Quick conceptual understanding and ability to visualize product improvements with minimal guidance.

Pay: ?40,000.00 - ?60,000.00 per month
