Your role
An exciting opportunity in PC, where the role aspirant will be responsible for:

  • Production & Review of daily P&L/RSBPL
  • Interaction with traders and front office business managers, providing analytical support and new business implementation
  • General on going awareness of external accounting standards and potential impact on business and traders
  • Ensure Daily T1 P&L and Balance Sheet is accurately reported to the FO
  • P&L reconciliation between Booking Risk Management systems vs Settlement systems and various management reporting tools & Trade life cycle Know-how.
  • Ensure that the relevant P&L and Balance sheet positions are correctly reported at month ends
  • Ensure proper reconciliation of daily T0 v/s T1 along with variance analysis and fit for purpose commentary
  • F2B Reconciliations & Pre-P&L processing tasks must be completed in a timely manner and all issues identified as part of control checks to be escalated, followed-up through collaboration with IT Support, Onshore Team & other stakeholders for resolution in a timely manner
  • Ensure all controls are executed as per the KPC and process KOPs
  • Substantiation of the Balance Sheet, both daily and for month end sign off, as well as related commentaries requirements
  • Coordinating the completion, delivery of the tasks allocated to the team and appropriate delegation of tasks by maintaining the accountability at all times
  • Ensure that the KPIs and SLAs are met as per the governance framework
  • Ensure the maintenance of a strong internal control environment and transparent communication with all the stakeholders involved
  • Monitor control reports to ensure accuracy of data for P&L, validation of the attributes, Risk parameters and proper understanding of Front to Back flow
  • Ensure clean audit results from internal and external reviews with proper justification and proof of evidence produced on demand
  • Regular updates to the key stroke documentation process, regular risk assessment and SOX documentation of the EUAs
  • Identifying and driving process re-engineering and constantly challenge the status quo for control improvement and process efficiency
  • Contribute to the team to deliver continuous improvements (Process, People & Systems)
  • Responding and resolving issues arising out of interactions with clients and stakeholders
  • Establishing and maintaining effective working relationship with all the stakeholders.

Your team
The subject job opening is within the Group Treasury Financial Control Team in India. The Team provides best-in-class finance services to the traders as well as to other stakeholders such as entity control and business management.

This role will give you the opportunity to build a strong knowledge base across multiple finance specialist areas including financial reporting, regulatory reporting, valuation considerations, operational support/controls and Centre of Excellence initiatives.
Your expertise
  • A university degree or equivalent qualification (preferably CA / MBA or equivalent degree)
  • A minimum of 6 years of work experience in Product Control domain & relevant prior experience of working in a banking finance role with a SME tag
  • A broad understanding of the product types traded by the desk and any valuation know-how along with good understanding of risk attributes
  • Must be well versed in double entry accounting standards
  • Should possess good logical / reasoning and analytical skills, with an ability to apply existing knowledge to take logical approach while problem solving
  • A working knowledge of accounting aspects of transactions i.e. economic impact on P&L / Balance sheet.
  • A team player with good communication skills, able to interact well with individuals and create synergy within the team
  • MS office tools – Strong Understanding
  • Understanding of VBA, Macros
  • Strong presentation skills, ability to communicate clearly and effectively
