Product Content Testing Specialist
Workflow Systems & Tools - Product Content Testing (PCT) Team provides a cross-asset pool of expertise that is applied to rigorously test and improve the data quality of products for internal and external clients. The team provides awareness of D&A Customer Operations' product performance focusing on the Product testing and Product Metrics program that power our measurement of product timelines, accuracy and completeness.
Working within Workflow Systems & Tools team, this role is passionate about handling the release testing's for the FCO content.
The role requires demonstrable understanding of Premium products, Content databases (Cross content), technical knowledge, automation tools, interpersonal & communication skills and strategic execution - working with senior product and proposition customers, our colleagues in FCO, Business Delivery teams, and Data strategy teams.
Working for this team will challenge you to use your project mgmt., quantitative, and critical thinking skills to seamlessly support the product releases.
Responsibilities / AccountabilitiesBuilding the automation test scripts using Python or equivalent programming languages
Experience writing sophisticated SQL queries and stored procedures and loading data into a variety of database systems. (e.g. MySQL, SQL Server, Oracle) is encouraged.
Deep understanding of LSEG Products (Workspace, Datascope Suite (DSS,DSP,DSW...etc)
Knowledge on financial and markets data.
Continually improve solutions by working closely with delivery teams.
Drive product measurements - end-to-end product checks, Improve test efficiency.
Transformation programs by providing the vital data and maintaining the performance regularly.
Assume responsibility for the planning and leading analytical testing projects, including creating analytical testing ideas, performing testing and delivering final reports, translating end user needs to requirements (preferably using design thinking methodologies)
Work independently with Content groups to resolve and provide solutions for product or content issues affecting the quality of information on the products
Handle all level partner engagements to discover problems and use cases as well as to translate business impact of on-going and completed projects.
Report on status of testing projects to Content stakeholders, Product Management and Development, ensuring that results are reproducible, correct and actionable.
Can spot data quality issues with an ability to spot data, pipeline and model problems.
Empower the team to supervise down sophisticated data quality and data integration issues, evaluate different algorithmic approaches, and analyze data to tackle problems.
Conduct data and analytics acceptance testing, including common factor analysis for the discrepancy.
Professional demeanor and subtle demeanour with excellent verbal and written communication skills are essential.
Deep understanding of Project management, Testing, quality management methodologies, and concepts.
Developing and broadening your skills through mentoring and collaboration with experienced engineers.
The ability to handle sophisticated situations and think logically with incredible attention to detail.
Continuously build knowledge and skills to keep up to date with developments in testing technology and data analysis.
Demonstrate dedication, a proactive demeanor, and teamwork at all times.
Perform other assignments as requested.
KNOWLEDGE & SKILLTechnical skills in Advance SQL, Python, Selenium, Java, or equivalent is a plus and automation tools and process.
Testing tools and techniques, solid understanding of typical SDLC
Relational database skills
Knowledge of products including Workspace/EIKON, Datascope Suites and LMP is helpful
Different testing technics and models
Able to handle large quantities of data without drowning in it
Narrate stories (to technical and mostly non-technical audience) about our content and processes by data analysis and visualization.
Solid sense of algorithm: can think rigorously, anticipate how to identify common problems such as missing data, able to build re-usable modules of code that can be understood by peers.
Strong written, communication and presentation skills. Able to respond and present work to peers, answer in-depth questions, accept constructive feedback, and modify work product accordingly.
