Role Overview:

As an Educational Counselor at Elysium Academy, you will play a vital role in helping students overcome academic, social, and emotional challenges. You will guide them through their educational paths, support their personal development, and help them prepare for future careers. The ideal candidate will possess excellent communication skills, the ability to connect with students and families, and a strong commitment to supporting students' overall well-being.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct one-on-one and group counseling sessions to address academic, social, and emotional issues. Develop and deliver counseling programs that support student success, personal development, and mental health. Work closely with teachers, administrators, and parents to create individualized educational plans tailored to student needs. Assess students' strengths and challenges, offering strategies, support, and referrals as necessary. Organize and facilitate workshops and group activities on personal growth, goal setting, and conflict resolution. Maintain accurate and confidential records of counseling sessions, progress reports, and student development. Stay informed about current educational trends, career options, and college admissions to provide timely and relevant guidance. Serve as a resource for students and families in navigating educational and career choices.

Qualifications:

A degree in Counseling, Psychology, Education, or a related field. Previous experience in academic counseling, student support, or educational services is a plus, but not required. Strong communication skills, with the ability to build trust and rapport with students, parents, and staff. Ability to collaborate effectively with faculty, staff, and families in a student-centered environment. Knowledge of educational programs and available resources to support student success. Strong organizational skills, with the ability to manage multiple priorities and tasks efficiently.
