Job Description

Major responsibilities include: Assess supplier capabilities and get detailed manufacturing schedule/ GANTT Charts . Implement sourcing strategies to ensure supplier executes the job as per the need of the project. Connect with global stake holders on daily basis to understand the project requirement and align your set of global & local supplier with the same. Keep a weekly track on the manufacturing schedule of our orders and ensure latest updates in the Oracle ERP system by supplier or by yourself on a regular basis. Coordinate with planning, project management, buying, engineering and quality function to flawlessly drive projects or resolve any supplier issues as per the project & customer requirement. Develop weekly/monthly reports & score cards to track PO activity and supplier performance. Analyze and track spend data, open PO report & supplier promise date and develop reports to ensure Supplier promise date accuracy with Need date . Negotiate commercial activities related to Liquidity damages, Back charge and extra activity or change order request cost requests with supplier by deep dive & should cost analysis. Drive effective recovery plans when the supplier is in delay and ensure support to the project team. Ensure PO acknowledgement, Documentation & certificate submitted by the supplier within the prescribed time and in total completeness. Organize transportation request with logistic providers and closely monitor material pick up, delivery and inventory receiving of your material. Organize invoices clearance & supplier payments when struck. Prepare long term strategies to improve the performance of supplier. Initiate Simplification and Digitization projects to improve efficiency and effectiveness of processes. Qualifications/ Requirements: Bachelor of Engineering/Technology with 4-5 years of experience in a Sourcing position. Hands on experience in developing and analyzing project management tools( MS Projects/ GANTT charts) Strong oral and written communication skills. Hands on experience on Oracle/SAP ERP tools & MS Office (Excel/PPT) Good understanding of electrical & mechanical parts manufacturing processes and critical paths. Desired Characteristics: Hands on experience in Sourcing, driving supplier performances and score cards. Sound understanding of planning, manufacturing, Quality and Engineering functions and related R&R. Proven analytical and problem-solving skills with sound judgment of potential risks. Ability to work in matrix organization across different time zones. Knowledge of Oil & Gas industry and its supplier base. Strong interpersonal and leadership skills. Inventory management, PC and database proficiency. Six Sigma training is preferred. Highly motivated & Team player.
