Job Description

The Procurement Specialist will be responsible for procurement activity in Smiths Detection India. The role holder will be the focal point for all sourcing activity within the Business. Focus on governance of procurement activities for direct materials and services. This is a Fixed Term Contract position for 9 months. Duties & Responsibilities What you\'ll do - Responsible for managing the procurement of materials, equipment, and services from the right suppliers at the best quality. Conduct effective sourcing in accordance with the given schedules, specifications, and budgets by the stakeholder To work with internal stakeholders and key suppliers to improve the procurement process to attain the maximum value for the Business To support the operational activities which include but not limited to processing of purchase requisition, new vendor creation, invoice tracking, AEO certification, GR/IR report and updating of existing contract On time execution of RFQ\'s, prepare commercial evaluations, suppliers\' selection and award recommendation Develop and maintain Supplier Relationship Management for the responsible portfolio to synergize the regional supplier base Manage the evaluation of critical vendor performance on continuous basis and communicated with the related internal stakeholder Managing contracts with vendors including the negotiation of contract terms and conditions Develop and drive sourcing strategy for assigned commodities / categories to support Business growth, profitability, cash flow and improvement through continuous improvement initiatives To support in monitoring the inventory to ensure the flow of goods remains positive To facilitate the discussion with supplier for and rejection and quality improvement Ensures that the procurement activity is in adherence to Business requirement and policies at all time Be familiar with international trade compliance, tariff, and local regulations Support other related duties that assign by the Manager from time to time The Individual What you\'ll definitely need - Bachelor\'s degree in supply chain/Engineering with 6 - 7 years of related experience in managing sourcing activities over a variety of category. Strong Knowledge of Project procurement practices, costs structures and strong negotiations skills Ability to interact effectively with various levels of management is required.
