What you will do:

Job Summary:

We are a climate-tech startup looking for a highly organized and detail-oriented procurement specialist to manage the procurement process for our organization. The procurement specialist will be responsible for sourcing components, negotiating contracts, managing inventory, and ensuring that our supply chain operates smoothly. The successful candidate will have excellent communication and negotiation skills, be able to work independently, and have a strong understanding of procurement regulations and policies.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Develop procurement strategies and policies that meet the organization\'s needs

  • Conduct market research to identify potential suppliers

  • Source components and materials required for the development and production of our hardware products

  • Handle import/ export of goods and products

  • Negotiate contracts and agreements with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and pricing

  • Evaluate supplier performance to ensure that they are meeting the organization\'s expectations

  • Manage inventory and supply chain logistics to ensure that products are delivered on time and in good condition

  • Collaborate with our product development team to ensure that components meet our quality standards

  • Manage relationships with key suppliers to ensure a reliable and consistent supply chain

  • Ensure compliance with procurement regulations and policies

  • Identify cost-saving opportunities by analyzing procurement data and market trends

  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure that the procurement process meets the organization\'s needs


Requirements

Requirements:

  • Bachelor\'s degree in business administration, supply chain management, or a related field

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in procurement, purchasing, or supply chain management, preferably in oil & gas, chemical or energy industry

  • Understanding of national and international codes and regulations for import/ exports of goods and products

  • Strong analytical, negotiation, and communication skills

  • Knowledge of procurement regulations and policies

  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple projects simultaneously

  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office, particularly Excel

  • Experience with procurement software and tools is a plus

  • You will receive customary holidays in India (approximately 12 holidays per year) and 15 days of paid vacation per year accrued monthly. We will have a 5-day, 8 hour/day work week (Mon-Fri) with flexible work timings (within reason).
