Job Summary:

We are seeking a detail-oriented and results-driven

Procurement / Purchase Manager (Civil)

to oversee the end-to-end procurement of civil materials, equipment, and services for our construction projects. The ideal candidate will ensure timely sourcing, cost-effectiveness, and quality compliance to support project execution within budget and timelines.

Key Responsibilities:

Manage and execute the entire

procurement cycle

-- from vendor identification, evaluation, negotiation, and finalization to delivery and payment coordination. Prepare and process

Purchase Orders (POs), Work Orders (WOs)

, and

Rate Contracts

as per company policy. Develop and maintain strong relationships with

vendors, contractors, and suppliers

for consistent quality and cost efficiency. Ensure timely

procurement of civil materials

such as cement, steel, aggregates, RMC, tiles, plumbing, electrical, and finishing materials. Evaluate supplier performance based on

quality, delivery, and pricing

parameters. Coordinate with

Project, Planning, and Finance teams

for smooth procurement execution and inventory management. Maintain and update

procurement databases, price comparisons, and material tracking reports

. Implement

cost-saving measures

, vendor development, and process improvements. Ensure

compliance with company policies

, statutory regulations, and safety norms. Participate in

technical and commercial bid evaluations

for major items and subcontracting services.

Required Skills & Competencies:

Strong knowledge of

construction materials, specifications, and procurement procedures

. Excellent

negotiation, analytical, and communication

skills. Proficiency in

MS Excel, ERP systems (SAP / Tally / Oracle / similar)

. Strong understanding of

vendor management, logistics, and supply chain coordination

. Ability to handle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines.

Qualification:

B.E./B.Tech/Diploma in Civil Engineering

(mandatory). MBA in Materials Management / Supply Chain (preferred).
