We seek a proficient and skilled procurement operations executive to join our team at GMMCO Ltd. As a
procurement operations executive, you will
play a key role in managing day to day procurement activities within the organization. This position is responsible for purchasing and supplier management, ensuring cost-effective and timely procurement of goods and services while adhering to compliance and quality standards. The ideal candidate shall possess strong analytical skills, operational efficiency, and the ability to collaborate with stakeholders to drive procurement operations excellence.
Key Responsibilities
1. Procurement Process Management:
o Review purchase requisitions, purchase orders, and other procurement transactions.
o Ensure compliance with procurement policies and regulatory requirements.
o Oversee the end-to-end procurement cycle, from sourcing to delivery.
o Streamline procurement workflows to enhance efficiency and reduce operational bottlenecks.
2. Supplier Management:
o Support sourcing team during supplier identification, evaluation process by providing relevant performance data.
o Managing and monitoring supplier contracts to ensure compliance with agreed-upon terms.
o Responsible for material code creation of indirect material category.
o Support in supplier code creation and complete onboarding process for new suppliers.
o Follow-up with suppliers on delivery of goods.
3. Cost Optimization & Inventory Control:
o Ensure accurate inventory management and timely replenishment of stock to meet operational needs.
o Implement cost-control measures while maintaining quality and service level expectations.
4. Compliance & Risk Management:
o Ensure procurement activities align with internal policies and external regulatory requirements.
o Identify and mitigate procurement-related risks, including supplier reliability and contractual risks.
o Maintain audit-ready documentation and reports to facilitate transparency.
5. Stakeholder Collaboration & Communication:
o Liaise with various departments to understand procurement requirements and deliver optimal solutions.
o Co-ordinate with SAP team for data management and governance
o Collaborate with finance, operations, and logistics teams for seamless procurement execution.
o Provide regular updates and insights to senior management on procurement operational performance.
o Act as a point of contact for resolving procurement-related transactional issues.
6. Data Analysis & Reporting:
o Utilize procurement analytics to assess spending patterns and vendor performance.
o Prepare detailed reports on procurement costs, efficiency, and savings opportunities.
o Leverage data-driven insights to enhance sourcing strategies and improve supplier negotiations.
o Ensure accurate documentation and record-keeping for future reference and audits.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
o Bachelor's degree in Engineering or Technology is required.
o 2-5 years of experience in Gmmco Ltd.
o Strong analytical, and problem-solving skills.
o Prior work experience in Procurement.
o Proficiency in procurement software (SAP, Oracle, Ariba, or similar ERP systems).
o Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
