Position Overview:



We are seeking a highly organized and experienced

Procurement Officer

to join our team in Bengaluru. The role is pivotal in ensuring efficient, cost-effective, and compliant procurement of materials, manpower, equipment, and services required for our construction and MEP projects. You will work closely with cross-functional teams to align procurement activities with project timelines, budgets, and quality standards.

Key Responsibilities:


1.

Procurement Planning



Collaborate with project managers and engineers to assess and plan material and equipment requirements. Develop procurement schedules aligned with project milestones and budgets.
2.

Sourcing & Vendor Management



Identify, evaluate, and negotiate with suppliers, subcontractors, and service providers. Maintain and regularly update the approved vendor database. Ensure vendor compliance with quality, safety, and delivery standards.
3.

Purchasing & Contract Management



Draft and manage purchase orders, contracts, and other procurement documentation. Negotiate best possible prices and delivery terms. Ensure contracts meet legal and project-specific requirements.
4.

Logistics & Delivery Coordination



Coordinate the timely delivery of materials, equipment, and manpower to job sites. Oversee logistics to minimize delays and control transportation costs.
5.

Cost Control & Budgeting



Monitor procurement expenses to stay within budget. Prepare Weekly Progress Reports (WPR) including material and labor reconciliations. Identify cost-saving opportunities while maintaining quality and deadlines.
6.

Documentation & Reporting



Keep accurate records of all purchases and supplier performance. Generate procurement reports for internal review and project tracking.

Key Skills & Competencies:



Strong understanding of

construction and MEP materials

, equipment hire, and subcontractor markets Proficiency in

ERP systems

(SAP, Oracle, etc.) Excellent

negotiation, communication, and analytical skills

Ability to handle multiple projects under tight deadlines Solid knowledge of

labour contractor/agency management
