About the Role:



We are looking for an experienced and result-oriented

Procurement Manager

to handle end-to-end procurement operations for the FMCG / Retail business. The role involves vendor management, cost-effective sourcing, inventory coordination, and ensuring smooth supply chain operations. The ideal candidate should have strong market knowledge, vendor networks, and hands-on experience in retail procurement.

Key Responsibilities:



Lead and manage complete procurement activities for FMCG / grocery products

Identify, onboard, and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers

Negotiate pricing, credit terms, discounts, and delivery schedules

Plan purchases based on sales trends, stock levels, and store requirements

Coordinate with store operations, warehouse, finance, and accounts teams

Ensure timely availability of stock and avoid stock-outs or overstocking

Monitor inventory levels, expiry management, and slow-moving items

Maintain accurate procurement documentation (POs, invoices, GRNs, vendor records)

Ensure compliance with company policies, GST norms, and statutory requirements

Track market trends, price fluctuations, and suggest cost-saving opportunities

Evaluate vendor performance and resolve supply-related issues

Required Skills & Qualifications:



Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain, Commerce, or a related field

6-10 years of procurement experience in

FMCG / Retail industry



Strong vendor coordination and negotiation skills

Good knowledge of inventory planning and supply chain processes

Understanding of GST, billing, and basic statutory compliance

Proficiency in MS Excel and ERP / procurement software

Ability to analyze sales and purchase data for better forecasting

Nice to Have:



Strong vendor network in FMCG / Grocery segment

Experience handling procurement for multiple stores

Exposure to high-volume retail operations

Soft Skills:



Strong communication and coordination skills

Good decision-making and problem-solving ability

Cost-conscious and result-driven mindset

Ability to work independently and handle pressure
