This role is crucial in ensuring that goods and services are procured cost-effectively, efficiently, and in alignment with project timelines and quality standards. The Procurement Manager will also develop supplier relationships, negotiate contracts, and implement best practices to optimize procurement operations.
Key Responsibilities:
Develop and implement procurement strategies aligned with business objectives, ensuring cost savings and quality standards are met.
Manage end-to-end procurement processes including sourcing, vendor evaluation, contract negotiation, and purchase order management.
Build and maintain strong relationships with suppliers, vendors, and internal departments to ensure reliable supply and service delivery.
Monitor market trends, identify risks, and seek alternative suppliers to mitigate supply chain disruptions.
Ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements, internal policies, and ethical sourcing standards.
Oversee procurement reporting, budgeting, and cost control efforts to enhance operational efficiency.
Lead, mentor, and support the procurement team in performance management and skills development.
Qualifications & Skills:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Procurement, Engineering, or a related field.
Minimum of 2 to 3 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management, preferably in the construction, manufacturing, or logistics sector, with demonstrated expertise in strategic sourcing and vendor management. Previous experience in the construction industry is required
Strong negotiation, analytical, and contract management skills; proficiency in procurement systems (e.g., ERP, SAP, Oracle); excellent communication and leadership abilities; well-versed in market research, budgeting, and cost analysis.
