Job Summary:Title: Procurement Lead/ManagerStatus: Full TimeLocation: Pune, IndiaJob Summary:The Procurement Lead/ Manager is responsible for overseeing an organization's purchasing activities to ensure cost-effective procurement of high-quality goods and services. This role involves developing and implementing procurement strategies, managing supplier relationships, and ensuring compliance with company policies and industry regulations. The Procurement Lead/Manager plays a vital role in optimizing supply chain operations, negotiating contracts, and contributing to the organizations financial efficiency.The candidate is a strategic thinker with strong negotiation, analytical, and leadership skills, capable of driving cost savings, improving procurement processes, and mitigating supply chain risks.Essential Duties & Responsibilities:This job description represents the primary areas of responsibility; specific position assignments will vary depending on the needs of the department.To perform the job successfully, an individual must be able to execute each essential duty satisfactorily.   • Responsible for supporting both proposals and projects by identifying varied sources of products, subcontract, and labor services, evaluating bids, award contracts, and purchase orders, expediting and inspecting vendors/subcontractors, and maintaining current databases of qualified suppliers and subcontractors.
  • This role routinely interacts with internal Operations/Project Management, other Functional disciplines (including Engineering, Estimation, project controls, etc.), Professional Staff and Department
  • Manages, motivates, trains, develops, and supervises a local or regional supply chain
  • Supports local management with business strategies and new bid and project opportunities that require support from procurement and
  • Proactively identify, develop, qualify, and meet suppliers and subcontractors to support
  • Oversees the development of bidders list for projects to ensure proper coverage of all available vendor options for pricing
  • Responsible for purchase of material and services at or below estimate using procurement processes while maintaining consistency with schedule requirements.
  • Negotiate complex or large local currency and dollar value purchase orders and subcontracts for regional and/or international purchases.
  • Capable of analyzing and managing vendor claims or conflict situations to resolution.
  • Ensures compliance with company policies and procedures. Manage regular audits of the group's compliance.
  • Mentally agile and ability to multi-task and manage tight deadlines and Adaptability to learn and contribute in varying and complex environments.
  • Maintain supplier performance.
Education And Experience:
  • Bachelors degree in mechanical engineering with technical background.
  • 15+ Yrs. years of Procurement and/or Subcontracts experience in progressively advancing roles, especially sourcing material on a global
  • Experience in handling end to end procurement of process equipment
  • Candidates with experience in oil and gas, energy, power, water treatment and industrial
  • Experience in handling and procurement of subcontract items including Pressure vessels, Tanks. Structural skids and Piping fabrication etc. and OEM products like, Pumps, Valves, Instruments, Blowers, E&I, PLC, Transformers, Special etc.
  • Knowledge of Material of construction and grades used in the above sectors. (Like CS, SS, SDSS, Alloy, Monel, GRP, FRP, PVC/UPVC)
  • Strong negotiation skills with the ability to analyze right prices to negotiate better
Certifications:Added advantage, if the candidate has completed any supply chain certification Like CIPS or EquivalentCOMPETENCIESCompetency in Microsoft Office Suite: ERP systems, ADP, Epicor and/or D365 is beneficial.SKILL IN:
