The Procurement Manager will be responsible for overseeing end-to-end procurement activities across EPC railway and highway projects. This role involves strategic sourcing, vendor management, contract negotiation, and ensuring timely delivery of materials, equipment, and services in line with project schedules, budgets, and quality standards.
Key Responsibilities:
Manage
end-to-end procurement operations
for EPC railway and highway infrastructure projects.
Develop and execute purchase plans
in accordance with project timelines, technical specifications, and approved budgets.
Source, evaluate, and negotiate
with vendors and suppliers for construction materials, plant, and machinery.
Ensure
compliance with project specifications, contractual terms, and quality standards
in all procurement activities.
Coordinate closely with
project, engineering, and finance teams
for material approvals, scheduling, and payment processes.
Maintain and update the vendor database
, evaluating supplier performance and fostering long-term, reliable partnerships.
Monitor inventory levels, logistics, and delivery schedules
to ensure uninterrupted supply to project sites.
Drive
cost optimization
through competitive bidding, rate contracts, and bulk purchase strategies.
Prepare and manage procurement documentation
, including purchase orders, bid evaluations, and contract agreements.
Ensure adherence to
government tendering and procurement norms
, audit requirements, and company policies.
Qualifications & Experience:
Bachelor's Degree
in Engineering (Civil / Mechanical / Electrical) or
Supply Chain Management
.
MBA or PG Diploma
in Materials Management preferred.
7-10 years of experience
in procurement within
EPC infrastructure projects
(Railway / Highway).
Proven experience in
procurement of Railway project materials
- S&T, OHE, P-Way, etc.
Strong
negotiation, analytical, and vendor management
skills.
Proficient in
ERP systems
and project-based procurement processes.
Thorough understanding of
government tendering procedures
and procurement regulations.
Excellent
communication and coordination
skills with a proactive and result-oriented approach.
Job Type: Permanent
Pay: ₹60,000.00 - ₹65,000.00 per month
