We are seeking a strategic and detail-oriented Procurement Manager to oversee sourcing, purchasing, and vendor management for our foam manufacturing operations. This role is critical in ensuring the timely availability of raw materials (such as polyurethane, additives, chemicals, and packaging), optimizing costs, and maintaining quality standards across the supply chain.
Key Responsibilities
Sourcing & Vendor Management
Identify, evaluate, and onboard reliable suppliers for raw materials, machinery, and services
Negotiate contracts, pricing, and delivery terms to ensure cost efficiency and quality compliance
Build long-term relationships with vendors and monitor performance metrics
Material Planning & Inventory
Forecast material requirements based on production schedules and sales projections
Coordinate with production and warehouse teams to maintain optimal inventory levels
Monitor stock movements and minimize wastage or overstocking
Procurement Operations
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of goods
Verify specifications, quality, and pricing of incoming materials
Resolve discrepancies in shipments, invoices, or supplier performance
Cost Control & Process Improvement
Analyze procurement data to identify cost-saving opportunities
Implement best practices in procurement processes and systems
Collaborate with finance and operations to align procurement with budgeting goals
Compliance & Documentation
Ensure adherence to company policies and regulatory standards (e.g., ISO, safety norms)
Maintain accurate records of purchases, contracts, and supplier communications
Support internal and external audits related to procurement
Qualifications & Skills
Education
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, or Engineering
MBA or professional certifications (e.g., CPSM, CPM) preferred
Experience
5-10 years of procurement experience, preferably in foam, plastics, or chemical manufacturing
Strong understanding of raw material sourcing and vendor development
Technical Skills
Proficiency in ERP systems (SAP, Oracle, Tally) and MS Excel
Knowledge of procurement analytics and cost modeling
Familiarity with import/export procedures and logistics (if applicable)
