We are seeking a Purchase Manager to join our construction team. The successful candidate will be responsible for managing procurement activities, ensuring timely delivery of materials and services, and maintaining cost-effective relationships with suppliers.
Key Responsibilities:
- Develop and implement procurement strategies to meet project requirements
- Manage tendering processes, evaluating bids and negotiating contracts with suppliers
- Ensure compliance with company policies, regulatory requirements, and industry standards
- Build and maintain relationships with suppliers, negotiating prices and delivery terms
- Analyze market trends, identifying opportunities for cost savings and process improvements
Requirements:
- Degree in Business Administration, Procurement, or related field
- Minimum 6 years of experience in procurement, with experience in construction industry
- Strong knowledge of procurement principles, contract management, and negotiation techniques
- Good communication, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment
Preferred Qualifications:
- Experience with procurement software (e.g., ERP, e-procurement systems)
- Knowledge of construction industry-specific regulations and standards.
