Primary Roles of a Purchase Manager

1. Procurement Management

a. Sourcing purchase materials, furniture, lighting, decor, fabrics, and fixtures by identifying reliable suppliers

b. Develop relationships with vendors and suppliers for consistent quality and pricing.

c. Negotiate pricing, terms and delivery schedules for material

Budget and Cost Control

a. Work with design and finance teams to ensure purchases align with project budgets

b. Optimize costs without compromising quality or design intent.

c. Identify cost-saving opportunities through alternative sourcing or bulk buying.

d. Compare pricing across multiple vendors and suggest alternatives when needed

3. Project Coordination Support

a. Collaborate with interior designers, architects, and project managers to understand material specifications.

b. Ensure timely procurement to meet project timelines and installation schedules.

c. Track and manage order delivery schedules.

4. Logistic Management

a. Handle transportation and delivery of goods to project sites.

5. Documentation and Compliance

a. Maintain accurate purchase records, invoices, and delivery documentation.

b. Ensure all purchases comply with legal and quality standards.

c. Handle import/export regulations if international sourcing is involved.

d. Maintain clear and organised procurement records for auditing and reporting

6. Vendor Development & Evaluation

a. Continuously onboard new vendors.

b. Negotiate contracts and terms with suppliers.

c. Evaluate vendor performance on delivery, cost, and quality metrics.

7. Quality Assurance

a. Ensure all materials meet design specification and quality standards

b. Coordinate inspections and approvals upon delivery

c. Handle defective deliveries and coordinate returns or replacements

Education
Bachelor's in Civil Engineering

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: ?60,000.00 - ?65,000.00 per month
