About the Role



We are looking for a skilled and proactive

Procurement Manager

to oversee and manage the sourcing and purchasing of FMCG products for our operations in Dar es Salaam. The ideal candidate should have in-depth knowledge of FMCG products, excellent negotiation and supplier management skills, and strong command over English and communication.

Key Responsibilities



Plan, manage, and execute procurement strategies for a wide range of FMCG products. Identify and evaluate reliable suppliers both locally and internationally. Negotiate pricing, payment terms, and delivery timelines to ensure cost-effective procurement. Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with warehouse and sales teams to ensure stock availability. Maintain strong vendor relationships and ensure supplier compliance with company standards. Prepare purchase orders and maintain accurate procurement records. Analyze market trends and competitor activity to anticipate supply risks and pricing shifts. Ensure timely clearance, documentation, and coordination for import orders.

Requirements



Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business Administration, or related field. Minimum

3-5 years of hands-on procurement experience

in the

FMCG sector

. Strong understanding of FMCG product categories, packaging, shelf life, and sourcing dynamics. Excellent communication, negotiation, and interpersonal skills.

Fluent in English

- both written and verbal is a must. Proficiency in procurement software and MS Office tools. Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment with cross-functional teams. Prior experience in East African or Tanzanian markets is an added advantage.
