Job Description

Key Responsibilities:

1. Packaging, Merchandise & OPEX Procurement

Manage end-to-end procurement of packaging materials (laminates, labels, stickers, corrugated boxes, stretch film), merchandise, and factory operational items (MROs, consumables, PPEs, cleaning supplies, tools, etc.).

Coordinate with packaging development, supply, branding, production teams for specifications, forecasting, and demand planning.

Evaluate, develop, and onboard vendors, ensuring compliance with quality, cost, and delivery standards.

Conduct market benchmarking and initiate cost optimization projects.

2. Vendor & Contract Management

Build and maintain a robust vendor base across packaging and OPEX categories.

Negotiate pricing, payment terms, lead times, and supply contracts.

Conduct supplier audits and ensure compliance with quality standards and OTIF (On-Time In-Full) deliveries.

3. Inventory & Systems Management

Collaborate with stores/warehouse teams for inventory tracking, reorder planning, and availability of materials. Ensure accurate processing of PRs/POs and maintain documentation in ERP/SAP systems. Manage procurement MIS and develop cost dashboards for reporting and analysis. Maintain audit documentation on systems and shared drives for compliance and traceability.

Key Skills & Competencies:

In-depth knowledge of packaging materials (laminates & corrugated boxes), and supply chain dynamics. Understanding of factory OPEX procurement processes and categories. Strong vendor development and negotiation skills. Cost-conscious and data-driven decision-making approach. Proficiency in MS Excel, SAP/ERP, and procurement tools. Effective cross-functional collaboration and stakeholder management.

Qualifications & Experience:

Graduate in Engineering, Supply Chain, or Packaging. MBA preferred.

2-3 years of experience in indirect procurement, with a focus on corrugated boxes and OPEX categories.

Exposure to manufacturing, FMCG, E-commerce, or similar sectors preferred.

Key Performance Indicators (KPIs):

Cost savings achieved in packaging and OPEX procurement. Supplier OTIF (On-Time In-Full) performance. Reduction in lead times and inventory holding costs. Vendor performance metrics and compliance levels. Accuracy and timeliness of PO/PR processing.
