Role Objective
To manage end-to-end procurement and legally compliant drafting of work orders and purchase contracts for subcontractors and vendors, ensuring cost efficiency, timely procurement, and complete protection of the company's commercial and legal interests, strictly as per tender conditions and applicable laws.
Key Responsibilities
A. Procurement Management (Core Responsibility)
Plan and execute project-wise procurement based on BOQ, drawings, and execution schedules
Identify, evaluate, and empanel subcontractors, suppliers, and vendors
Handle procurement for:
? Civil & structural works
? Materials, equipment, and services
Conduct commercial negotiations and finalize:
? Rates
? Scope
? Payment terms
? Delivery timelines
Issue and control Purchase Orders (POs) and Work Orders (WOs)
Ensure timely availability of materials and subcontractors at site
Coordinate with Projects, Stores, Billing, and Finance teams
Monitor vendor performance and resolve commercial issues
Maintain procurement records for audit and internal control
B. Drafting & Finalization of Work Orders / Contracts
Draft and finalize:
Subcontractor Work Orders
Vendor Purchase Orders
Supply & service contracts
Ensure all work orders are:
? Legally sound
? Commercially clear
? Aligned with company terms & conditions
Incorporate essential clauses related to:
? Scope of work & specifications
? Rates, quantities, and measurement terms
? Payment terms & milestones
? Security deposit / performance guarantee
? Retention money
? Liquidated damages
? Insurance & statutory compliances
? Termination & risk clauses
? Jurisdiction & dispute resolution
Ensure back-to-back alignment with main contract wherever required
Coordinate with external legal counsel only for vetting of high-value or sensitive work orders
Maintain standard templates for work orders and purchase contracts
C. Compliance & Internal Controls
Ensure compliance with:
? Tender conditions
? Applicable laws & legal norms
? GST and statutory requirements
Ensure work orders clearly define:
? Scope boundaries
? Commercial responsibilities
? Risk allocation
Maintain:
? Vendor agreements
? Amendments and revisions
? Contract registers and documentation
? Support internal audits and management reviews
Key Skills & Competencies
Strong experience in infrastructure procurement
Excellent commercial negotiation skills
Strong capability in drafting work orders & vendor contracts
Clear understanding of:
EPC / infrastructure project workflows
Government tender environments
Legal basics related to contracts, LDs, BGs, GST
Ability to protect company interests through clear drafting & commercial structuring
Qualification & Experience
Graduate in Engineering / Commerce / Law (MBA or LLB preferred)
8-15 years of experience in procurement & contract drafting
Mandatory experience in infrastructure / EPC companies
Exposure to NHAI / MORTH / PSU projects preferred
Key Performance Indicators (KPIs)
Procurement cost efficiency vs BOQ
Timely issuance of work orders
Zero ambiguity in work order scope and terms
Reduction in vendor-related disputes due to clear drafting
Compliance with internal and legal standards
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: ₹80,000.00 - ₹100,000.00 per month
Work Location: On the road
