Key Responsibilities:

Identify, evaluate, and qualify suppliers for technical materials and equipment Review engineering drawings and specifications to align purchases with project needs Negotiate pricing, terms, and contracts with vendors Monitor supplier performance for quality, delivery, and compliance Manage purchase orders and track project timelines Collaborate with engineering, operations, and finance teams on procurement strategy Support continuous improvement initiatives in cost savings and supply chain optimization Strong knowledge of supply chain management and procurement practices Knowledge of quality control standards and compliance requirements Analytical thinking and cost analysis abilities Effective communication and cross-functional collaboration Attention to detail and problem-solving mindset Identify potential risks in the supply chain and develop mitigation strategies. Monitor critical path items and ensure suppliers meet milestones as per the project schedule. Address delays, discrepancies, or quality issues. Maintain accurate records of material deliveries, shipment status, and supplier performance. Create and maintain comprehensive Reports for all expediting activities. Support project management teams with logistics and schedule updates. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously Travel to vendor places for follow-up and dispatch coordination

Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in engineering 2-3 years of experience in Procurement expediting Excellent communication and problem-solving skills. Fluent in Tamil & English. Hindi is preferable.
