Procurement Engineer

You will be working as Procurement Engineer and will be part of Electrification business area for Distribution Solutions division based in Nashik, India. In this role you will be reporting to Operations Manager and will be responsible for purchasing materials according to required technical specification, price, delivery schedule and terms.

Your responsibilities

• Identifying new suppliers in cooperation with relevant category team and qualifying new suppliers in cooperation with supplier quality and engineering specialists
• Negotiating agreements with main suppliers and periodically renewing pricelists, terms and conditions
• Analyzing and evaluating bids in order to determine the optimal value. Supporting bid and proposal teams by providing relevant market information
• Aligning with standard procedures and confirming delivery with suppliers, monitoring and tracking supplier performance to purchase order requirements
• Conducting all procurement and logistics activities for all goods and services in accordance with policies and procedures
• Ensuring pro-supply global supplier relationship management platform is kept updated as defined in pro-supply procedure

Your background

• Bachelor\xe2\x80\x99s degree in Electrical or Mechanical Engineering
• Minimum 8 to 10 years of experience in procurement or supply chain management
• Experience in commodity purchase would be an added advantage
• Excellent communication skills with an ability to influence both internally and externally
