Core Responsibilities
The candidate reviews engineering specifications and material requests to identify procurement needs, then float RFQs to approved vendors and follow up on technical and commercial offers. Procurement engineers negotiate contracts, conduct supplier evaluations based on quality, price, and delivery, and manage purchase orders through to delivery and inspection. They also monitor vendor performance, handle logistics, process payments, and support project teams in reviews and site visits.
Key Skills Required
Strong technical knowledge in engineering fields like industrial construction or EPC is essential, along with negotiation, cost analysis, and supplier relationship management skills. Proficiency in ERP systems, compliance with regulations, and abilities in risk mitigation and spend analysis are critical.
