Job Summary
This role supports local operational procurement requirements for IT and technology-related purchases, and leads competitive sourcing activities for higher-value goods and services. The Procurement Coordinator will work with internal stakeholders across two India sites (~600 employees), external suppliers, and the Global IT Procurement team based in the United States to ensure alignment with corporate procurement processes, policy compliance, and optimized cost outcomes.
Key Responsibilities
Execute day-to-day purchasing activities for low-value IT-related requests (typically under ~$500), including obtaining quotes, raising purchase requisitions, and coordinating purchase orders and deliveries.
Lead and manage RFI, RFQ, and RFP processes end-to-end for higher-value purchases and service engagements.
Support internal stakeholders in the specification, evaluation, negotiation, and award of supplier contracts.
Ensure compliance with procurement policies, approval workflows, audit requirements, and preferred supplier strategies.
Liaise proactively with the Global IT Procurement team (US-based) to align sourcing actions with global category strategies and spending governance.
Develop, maintain, and manage supplier relationships and performance.
Track and report key procurement metrics, including cost savings, cycle times, and contract renewals.
Maintain complete and accurate procurement documentation in relevant systems (e.g., ERP, P2P, contract repository).
Identify opportunities to consolidate spend, improve processes, and create value for local stakeholders.
Support resolution of invoicing and P2P issues with vendors and Accounts Payable where needed.
Required Skills & Experience
4-6 years of experience in procurement or purchasing roles, preferably within IT categories.
Proven experience running structured RFP / RFQ processes independently.
Strong understanding of Procure-to-Pay (P2P) processes and ERP systems (SAP/Oracle/Ariba/Coupa or similar).
Demonstrated ability to operate autonomously and manage multiple requests simultaneously.
Strong negotiation and supplier management skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder-management capabilities across functions and regions.
Analytical mindset with strong Excel and reporting skills.
Comfortable working in a fast-paced, high-ownership environment with minimal supervision.
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain, Business, Engineering, or related discipline.
Experience supporting US or global procurement teams across time zones.
Familiarity with IT products, services, and licensing models.
