We are seeking a highly organized and proactive Procurement Coordinator to join our team. This role will involve coordinating procurement activities on a global scale, managing vendor relationships, overseeing stock levels, and ensuring cost-effective purchasing strategies. The successful candidate will play a key role in ensuring the smooth and efficient flow of materials and services, maintaining inventory control, and optimizing procurement costs across the organization
Key Responsibilities
Global Coordination
Manage and coordinate procurement activities across multiple regions and global markets.
Collaborate with internal teams and international stakeholders to ensure timely delivery of materials and services.
Monitor global trends and adapt procurement strategies to align with market conditions.
Vendor Management
Establish and maintain strong relationships with vendors and suppliers.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing to secure favorable conditions and ensure consistent product quality and supply reliability.
Monitor vendor performance and compliance with agreed-upon terms and conditions.
Address and resolve vendor-related issues promptly to maintain business continuity.
Stock Management
Oversee and manage stock levels to ensure optimal inventory control and avoid overstocking or stock-outs.
Collaborate with the warehouse and logistics teams to ensure smooth storage, movement, and tracking of goods.
Conduct regular stock audits and reconcile any discrepancies.
Implement efficient systems for stock rotation, quality control, and expiry management where applicable.
Cost-Effectiveness:
Develop and implement cost-effective procurement strategies that reduce expenditure while maintaining high-quality standards.
Analyze purchasing data and identify areas for cost reduction and efficiency improvements.
Monitor market pricing trends to make informed decisions about sourcing and procurement.
Ensure compliance with budget constraints and financial objectives related to procurement activities.
General Duties
Maintain accurate and up-to-date procurement records and reports.
Prepare procurement reports for management, highlighting key performance metrics such as cost savings, vendor performance, and inventory levels.
Stay informed about industry developments, new products, and procurement best practices.
Support the implementation of new procurement tools and systems to streamline operations.
Qualifications & Skills
Bachelor's degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, or a related field (preferred).
3 to 5 years of experience in procurement, vendor management, or supply chain roles.
Strong understanding of global procurement processes, stock management, and cost optimization strategies.
Proficiency in procurement software, inventory management systems, Google Suite, and Microsoft Office Suite
Excellent negotiation, communication, and interpersonal skills.
Ability to work independently and as part of a global team in a fast-paced environment.
Strong analytical skills and attention to detail.
Experience with international procurement and dealing with global suppliers.
Familiarity with sustainable procurement practices.
Certification in procurement (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) is a plus
