The Procurement Associate will be responsible for sourcing, negotiating, and purchasing materials, furniture, fixtures, and equipment required for interior design and fit-out projects. This role ensures cost-effective procurement while maintaining high standards of quality, timely delivery, and alignment with project specifications and design intent.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Procurement & Sourcing
Source and evaluate suppliers and vendors for materials such as furniture, lighting, fabrics, finishes, and accessories.
Obtain quotations, compare pricing, and negotiate terms to achieve cost savings and favorable delivery schedules.
Develop and maintain supplier databases and relationships to ensure reliability and quality.
2. Order Management
Prepare and process purchase orders and requisitions in line with project budgets and timelines.
Coordinate with vendors for production status, delivery timelines, and logistics arrangements.
Track and update order status to ensure on-time delivery of materials.
3. Coordination & Communication
Collaborate closely with the design and project teams to understand material requirements and specifications.
Liaise with site teams to monitor delivery schedules and resolve supply or quality issues promptly.
Work with the finance team for invoice verification and payment follow-ups.
4. Quality & Compliance
Ensure all purchased materials meet company quality standards and design specifications.
Maintain records of purchases, pricing, and vendor performance for audits and future reference.
Ensure compliance with company procurement policies and sustainability standards.
5. Cost & Budget Management
Support project teams in developing procurement budgets and tracking material costs.
Identify opportunities for cost optimization without compromising quality or design integrity.
Qualifications & Skills:
Education:
Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Interior Design, or a related field.
Experience:
1-3 years of experience in procurement, preferably within the interior design, architecture, or construction industry.
Familiarity with materials, furniture, and finishes used in interior projects is an advantage.
Skills & Competencies:
Strong negotiation and vendor management skills.
Excellent organizational and time management abilities.
Attention to detail and understanding of design aesthetics.
Proficiency in MS Office, Excel, and procurement software (e.g., Zoho, SAP, or similar).
Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
