Join The Indus Valley as a Procurement Associate and contribute to our mission of bringing healthy, innovative cookware to every home. In this role, you will assist in procuring finished cookware products directly from manufacturers. You will work closely with suppliers to ensure timely deliveries, maintain quality standards, and support smooth procurement operations. We are looking for a proactive and detail-oriented individual who is eager to build expertise in supply chain and procurement of finished goods.
Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Support (Finished Goods):
- Assist in procurement of finished cookware products from manufacturers as per company requirements.
- Support in identifying reliable manufacturers, assessing supplier capabilities, and coordinating sample evaluations.
Supplier Coordination:
- Communicate with manufacturers and suppliers for order placements, follow-ups, and delivery timelines.
- Help maintain updated supplier records, including product catalogs, lead times, and pricing.
Operational Assistance:
- Ensure procurement activities comply with company processes and procurement policies. - Support in maintaining procurement documentation such as Purchase Orders (POs), invoices, and delivery notes.
Cross-functional Collaboration:
- Coordinate with inventory, operations, sales, and finance teams to ensure alignment between procurement and business needs.
- Support in managing inventory replenishment planning based on sales forecasts and stock levels.
Quality and Compliance Support:
- Assist in quality checks for received goods in collaboration with the quality team.
- Ensure suppliers adhere to product specifications, packaging standards, and compliance requirements.
Reporting and Analysis:
- Maintain procurement trackers, supplier performance records, and delivery schedules.
- Assist in preparing procurement reports to support decision-making.
Continuous Improvement Support:
- Contribute ideas for improving supplier management and procurement processes.
- Support small process improvement projects (e.g., documentation standardization, supplier audits).
Skills and Qualifications:
- Education: Bachelor's degree in Supply Chain Management, Business Administration, Engineering (Mechanical), or a related field.
- Experience: 1-2 years of experience in procurement, supply chain, or sourcing of finished goods (preferably in cookware, kitchenware, home appliances, or consumer goods). Relevant internships are also considered.
- Skills: Strong communication and coordination skills, attention to detail, and good Excel proficiency. Familiarity with procurement software is an advantage.
- Knowledge: Basic understanding of cookware manufacturing processes, materials (e.g., cast iron, stainless steel, ceramic), and quality standards is preferred.
- Languages: Hindi speaking is an additional advantage (for supplier communication).
- Certifications: Any coursework or certifications in Supply Chain Management is a plus (not mandatory).
