Key Responsibilities:
Procurement Planning:
Develop and implement procurement strategies for civil construction projects.
Forecast material requirements in coordination with project teams.
Vendor Management:
Identify, evaluate, and onboard suppliers and subcontractors.
Negotiate contracts, terms, and pricing with vendors.
Maintain strong relationships with suppliers to ensure reliability and quality.
Purchase Operations:
Issue purchase orders and ensure timely delivery of materials.
Monitor inventory levels and coordinate with stores and site teams.
Ensure compliance with specifications, quality standards, and timelines.
Cost Control & Budgeting:
Monitor procurement budgets and identify cost-saving opportunities.
Analyse market trends and pricing to optimize procurement costs.
Documentation & Compliance:
Maintain accurate records of purchases, pricing, and supplier performance.
Ensure adherence to legal and regulatory requirements.
Coordination & Reporting:
Collaborate with project managers, engineers, and finance teams.
Prepare regular reports on procurement status, vendor performance, and cost analysis
Qualifications:
Civil Construction, Supply Chain Management, or related field.
Minimum 8-10 years of experience in civil procurement, preferably in construction or infrastructure projects.
Strong negotiation, analytical, and communication skills.
Proficiency in procurement software and ERP systems.
Knowledge of construction materials, market rates, and vendor networks.
