Process Safety Specialist - Asia (Global EHSS Function)
Location: Remote, India (preferred near an operational plant)
Travel: Up to 40%
Reports to: Group Director, EHS&S

At Morgan Advanced Materials, we are seeking a Process Safety Specialist based in India to support our Asia region (with some global responsibilities). This role sits within our Group Corporate EHS&S function and will collaborate closely with site teams, regional leaders, and global counterparts across our manufacturing footprint.
You'll act as the subject matter expert for Process Safety, performing and facilitating risk studies, leading safety improvement projects, and developing best-practice frameworks that drive safer outcomes.
Responsibilities:
What you'll be doing:

• Design and roll out Process Safety Risk Management strategies for our global business
• Facilitate HAZOP, LOPA, DSEAR and related assessments across multiple sites
• Assess and improve Process Safety protocols at plant level
• Support design reviews for new processes and technologies
• Partner with engineering and operations to embed safety into preventive maintenance and change processes
• Develop global KPIs, site-specific safety objectives, and training materials
• Actively lead or support RCA and audit preparation as needed

Qualifications:
What you'll bring:

• A degree in Engineering or Safety (Chemical or Mechanical preferred)
• 5+ years of experience in Process Safety in a high-risk industry (chemicals, manufacturing, oil & gas)
• Hands-on experience in conducting or leading PHAs (HAZOP, LOPA, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of safety frameworks, codes, and recognised good practice
• Experience working regionally or globally across complex manufacturing environments
• Excellent English communication skills (verbal and written)
