Job Summary:

We are seeking a highly skilled

Process Safety Engineer

to join our team in

Saudi Arabia

. The ideal candidate will be responsible for identifying, assessing, and mitigating risks associated with industrial processes through the implementation of comprehensive process safety management (PSM) systems. This role involves cross-functional collaboration, regulatory compliance, and proactive leadership in safety initiatives.

Key Responsibilities:

Conduct thorough

Process Hazard Analyses (PHAs)

using methodologies such as HAZOP and FMEA to identify potential safety risks in operational processes. Develop and implement robust

Process Safety Management (PSM)

systems aligned with industry regulations and best practices. Collaborate with engineering, operations, and HSE teams to improve

safety protocols, training, and standard operating procedures

. Lead

incident investigations

and

root cause analyses

, and recommend corrective and preventive actions to eliminate recurrence. Monitor, track, and analyze

safety performance indicators

, and develop action plans for continuous improvement. Provide

technical guidance

on the design and installation of safety systems, including emergency shutdown systems, pressure relief systems, and ventilation systems. Keep current with

industry safety standards and regulations

(e.g., OSHA, EPA, local authorities), ensuring company compliance.

Required Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in

Chemical Engineering

,

Process Engineering

, or a related field Minimum

5 years of experience

in process safety or a closely related engineering discipline Proven expertise in

PHA methodologies

, such as HAZOP and FMEA Strong knowledge of

safety regulations and compliance requirements

(OSHA, EPA, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications:

Professional Engineer (PE)

license or certification in process safety management Experience using

risk assessment tools and software

Familiarity with

incident investigation techniques

and root cause analysis methodologies

Technical Skills & Technologies:

Proficiency in

process safety analysis tools

Experience with

process simulation software

(e.g., Aspen Plus, HYSYS) Knowledge of

Safety Management Systems

(e.g., ISO 45001, ANSI/AIHA Z10)
