Role Purpose:

The Engineering Manager will lead manufacturing engineering, process planning, and program execution for high-precision aerospace structural and engine components. This role ensures robust process design, OEM compliance, NPI execution, cycle time optimization, and scalable production while driving cost, quality, and delivery excellence.

Key Responsibilities:

1. Manufacturing & Process Engineering Leadership - Own end-to-end manufacturing engineering for structural and engine components. - Define and approve process flows, routings, inspection plans, and control plans. - Lead cycle time optimization, tooling strategy, and productivity improvements.

2. New Product Introduction (NPI) & OEM Program Execution - Manage RFQ feasibility, make vs buy decisions, tooling & fixtures. - Drive APQP, PPAP, and FAIR (AS9102). - Act as the primary technical interface with OEMs.

3. CNC Machining & Advanced Manufacturing - Oversee 3-axis, 4-axis & 5-axis machining. - Optimize cutting tools, workholding, and CAM toolpaths. - Drive adoption of high-speed, adaptive, and simulation-based machining.

4. Structural & Engine Component Expertise - Control safety-critical structural and engine parts. - Enforce tight tolerance machining and controlled processes.

5. Cross-Functional Coordination - Work closely with Quality, Production, and Supply Chain. - Support MRB, root cause investigations, and corrective actions.

6. Costing, Quotation & Profitability Engineering - Develop cycle time, cost, and profitability models.

- Support RFQs, technical-commercial reviews, and VA/VE programs.
7. Special Processes & Outsourcing Control - Validate heat treatment, surface treatment, shot peening, and NDT. - Ensure NADCAP compliance and full traceability.

8. Digital Manufacturing & Industry 4.0 - Implement ERP-linked routings, digital BOMs, SPC & CMM data integration. - Drive data-driven and AI-assisted machining improvement.

9. Engineering Team Leadership & Capability Building - Lead CAM, process engineering, and tooling teams. - Develop skills in GD&T, PFMEA, OEM machining standards.
