POSITION DESCRIPTION

Job title: Process Lead- Logistics Transformation

I. POSITION SUMMARY

To drive end-to-end process improvements in Logistics as part of procurement transformation, mainly in procurement activities supporting the Capital Procurement (engineering, fabricated equipment\'s, and materials) area. You will lead our internal efforts to manage the Logistics Global functional owner (GFO) initiatives/actions supporting the Logistics GFO. You will drive process improvements in a structural manner with revised work instruction and procedures and further digitize end to end supply chain of our Logistics activities.

II. NATURE AND SCOPE

This position is primarily responsible for driving process improvement for all work processes for capital procurement for Logistics and improve lead times for information handover within procurement functions. The role reports into Manager procurement process transformation and will have visibility of all GFO activities across procurement disciplines. You will have the responsibility of standardizing work procedures and developing templates and work instructions together with the GFOs.

IV. PRINCIPAL ACCOUNTABILITIES

Areas of responsibility:

  • Manage the Logistics GFO action list while making project plans for each activity with set milestones, timelines, and stakeholder sign-off
  • Analyze and review process improvements from a Logistics and cross-functional requirements standpoint - starting from procurements engagement with Project proposal team, to interface with Engineering teams, to delivery interface with site commissioning
  • Engage with global Logistics GFO and other procurement functions GFO\'s to ensure their regional improvement requirements are met, while building a pipeline for global remodeling of relevant improvements
  • Seek guidance from Manager procurement process improvement and other process leads in the team to look for cross functional improvements to build a robust procurement and supply chain process map via regular 1:1\'s
  • With every process improvement initiative, ensure work instructions and work procedures are updated and rolled out via a plan with structured communication to all the relevant regional Logistics community
  • Build/revise templates, work instructions, work procedures and Job aids for Logistics personnel to establish global standard ways of working - ensure all process documentation for Logistics is up to date.
  • Ensure engagement via structural engagement meetings with the Logistics GFO and their regional counter parts to drive monthly review of the initiatives and their development
  • Highlight any hurdles, roadblocks to the direct manager in a timely manner
  • Monitor, develop and communicate a monthly report of the Logistics GFO activities and their progress with the direct line manager
  • Work closely with supported businesses and functional organizations to ensure stability and cost effectiveness of supply chain by removing waste from processes
  • Simplify processes to maximize value proposition across the supply chain
  • Take regular guidance from the GFO to build project/ action pipeline
V. MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS AND QUALIFICATIONS
Qualifications - Bachelor\'s Degree in Engineering

Experience
  • 12 to 15 years of procurement/strategic Equipment sourcing experience, preferably minimum 4 years in process improvement in an EPC, Oil & gas or Shipping environment
  • Preferable with working experience in Engineering, Procurement and Construction (EPC), Industrial Gases or Petrochemicals / Chemicals or Oil & Gas Industries.
  • Worked with a multinational company in a matrix set up will be an advantage.
  • Detailed knowledge of Logistics in terms of purchasing procedures and practices, including aspects of process flow regarding, requisition, purchase order issuance, communication/reporting amongst various procurement disciplines.
  • Proven track record in setting up global standardized processes via systems/ digitization
  • Preferably Six-sigma certified
  • Familiar with operating within SAP environment and SMAT
