Inviting applications for the role of Process Developer, Insurance Accounting Management / Operational Reporting
Responsibilities:

  • Transaction processing: Assist in processing insurance accounting transactions, ensuring accuracy and compliance with company policies. Verify transaction details and maintain organized records for audit purposes.
  • Data collection and entry: Gather and input financial data into accounting systems and spreadsheets. Ensure data integrity and accessibility for analysis and reporting.
  • Report generation: Support the preparation of operational reports by compiling data and assisting in the creation of reports that highlight key performance indicators and financial metrics.
  • Variance analysis support: Help identify and explain variances between actual results and budgeted figures. Assist in investigating discrepancies and providing insights to management.
  • Compliance assistance: Support adherence to internal controls and regulatory requirements related to insurance accounting. Learn and apply compliance standards in daily tasks.
  • Stakeholder communication: Collaborate effectively with internal teams and external partners to facilitate smooth operations and resolve any issues related to accounting transactions or reporting.
  • Continuous improvement: Identify opportunities for process improvements within the accounting management and reporting functions. Enhance efficiency and accuracy through innovative solutions.
Minimum Qualifications:
Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate
Relevant years of experience in Management/Operational reporting
Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage
Preferred Skill Set:
Insurance Reporting Knowledge: Understanding of operational/management reporting processes including KPIs, performance dashboards, and insurance-specific metrics (premiums, claims, loss ratios).
Data Analysis & Visualization: Experience or familiarity with Excel dashboards, pivot tables, charts, and (preferably) Power BI/Tableau for operational reporting.
Awareness of Insurance Operations: Basic understanding of how underwriting, claims, customer service, and agent/broker networks function to produce operational data.
Reconciliation & Data Accuracy Mindset: Ability to verify datasets, identify breaks, and ensure accurate reporting across operations and finance teams.
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
Strong time management skills.
Integrity, with an ability to handle confidential information
