Inviting applications for the role of Process Developer, Insurance Accounting, Group Closing, Reporting & Controls
Responsibilities:

  • Group Financial Data Management: Assist in the collection, validation, and organization of insurance financial data (premiums, claims, reserves, reinsurance), ensuring accuracy and completeness for group consolidation and reporting.
  • Journal Entry Preparation: Support preparation and posting of close-related journal entries, including premium adjustments, claims liabilities, actuarial reserve movements, and reinsurance settlements, ensuring compliance with IFRS/US GAAP and internal policies.
  • Reconciliation Support: Assist in performing reconciliations for key insurance GL accounts such as premiums, claims, UPR/IBNR reserves, reinsurance recoverables/payables, and intercompany balances, ensuring timely identification and resolution of variances.
  • Group Closing & Consolidation Assistance: Help in preparation of group consolidation templates, elimination entries, and intercompany reconciliations during month-end and quarter-end close cycles.
  • Controls & Compliance Support: Assist in maintaining SOX/ICFR controls, ensuring proper documentation, audit trails, and adherence to insurance accounting and regulatory requirements.
  • Cross Functional Coordination: Collaborate with actuarial, underwriting finance, claims finance, and reinsurance teams to gather inputs and clarify financial movements supporting the group close process.
Minimum Qualifications:
Commerce Graduate / Postgraduate
Relevant years of experience in Group Closing/RTR processes
Experience in working with an insurance client will be an added advantage
Preferred Skill Set:
Understanding of group consolidation, intercompany eliminations, month/quarter close cycles, and multi entity financial reporting in the insurance sector.
Familiarity with premiums, claims, reserves (UPR/IBNR), loss ratios, actuarial inputs, and reinsurance processes relevant to group financial close.
Knowledge of Record to Report workflows and reconciliation of insurance-specific accounts across entities.
Basic understanding of IFRS/US GAAP and insurance regulatory concepts (NAIC), supporting compliant reporting during group closing.
Familiarity with SAP, Oracle, Workday, or similar financial systems; comfort working with BI tools such as Power BI/Tableau for close-related analysis.
Understanding of SOX/ICFR controls, audit documentation standards, and the importance of maintaining accurate, audit ready financial records.
Excellent analytical skills with an attention to detail
Self-starter, with ability to work under own initiative
Strong time management skills.
