SKILLS + EXPERIENCE

• I.R.S.E. Principles Designer Licence 1.1.130 or 1.1.150D
• Minimum of. 5-10 years of railway signalling experience
• Extensive design knowledge
• Knowledge of Quality procedures/standards
• Knowledge of testing and installation
• In-depth knowledge of group standards and legislation
• Awareness of implications of general contract terms and conditions
• Effective communication skills
• CAD literate in Micro-station and AUTO-CAD

Roles and Responsibility

• Produce & Production check Signalling Design Details broadly in the form of Scheme/Signalling Plans, Control Tables, location diagrams, cable core plans, power schematics and interlocking wiring/data
• Undertake independent check of the signalling detail design as per relevant standards and Signalling Design Specifications
• Ensure detail design complies with relevant technical, professional and group standards.
• Undertake professional and technical development as required
• Perform the duties of a RDE for signalling Design projects as required by CDM regulations.
• Provide functional support and guidance/Mentoring to junior Design staff

Ensure strict compliance of the documentation requirements of all relevant Standards and maintenance of records in the manner and the duration prescribed by Group/Company Standards, Quality Systems, etc.
