What are our expectations:

P&WC engines are equipped with on-board data recorder solutions (FAST\xe2\x84\xa2/DCTU) that transmit wirelessly engine full flight data to P&WC Ground station File Processing Center for data processing and reporting for diagnostic and health management analysis to determine applicable engine maintenance tasks. The DPHM Ground team is responsible to develop Ground Software to support Interaction with on-board recorders, extraction and processing of engine data in order to support P&WC Ground station operation.

P&WC is looking for a Software Development Manager to lead Ground software development team members responsible to develop, upgrade, maintain, and support DPHM Ground software applications.



Required qualification and skills:

• Bachelor/Master of Science in Software Engineering, or Computer Science
• Minimum of 10-15 years of experience developing software products with multiple teams and diverse stakeholders
• Proven experience as a software development manager, senior/lead software developer, software delivery manager, or similar role with distributed teams
• Strong understanding of agile software development methodologies (Scrum), tools (TFS, GitHub) and techniques
• Strong experience with programming language such as C#/C++, Java, Python
• Experience working with CI/CD pipelines.
• Experience with relational databases and data visualization tool (PowerBI)
• Excellent leadership, communication, and interpersonal skills.
• Experience with software testing and quality assurance practices, along with the ability and willingness to troubleshoot and debug software issues.
• Experience developing, working with, and integrating APIs or microservices.
• Ability to mentor and coach software developers across multiple agile teams
• Strong written and verbal English communication skills

Role and responsibilities:

• Lead software development teams, set goals and objectives, assign tasks, and ensure each team member is meeting their responsibilities towards the successful delivery of software.
• Ensure that all software development projects are completed to a high standard of quality, and that they meet the requirements of the project stakeholders.
• Participate into software development projects to conduct coding and documentation reviews to verify quality of the delivered software.
• Identify and mitigate risks associated with software development projects, including issues related to software security, data privacy, and regulatory compliance.
• Assist in estimation, planning, and development of software projects, with a particular focus on best practices for technology, architecture, and security.
• Participate in the entire software development lifecycle, from concept to deployment.
• Contribute to product transparency by reporting on KPIs, product development progress, and status updates.
• Develop and manage development resource allocations to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Coach and mentor team members, provide guidance and support, and promote a culture of continuous learning and improvement.
• Work with cross-functional teams to review requirements, discuss design solutions and identify and resolve project dependencies, risks, and issues.
• Identify talent needs within the team and develop a plan for recruitment and professional development.
• Stay up to date with emerging trends and technologies in software development.
