What you'll be doing...


You will be a part of the Global Network & Technology organization focusing on the strategic technology evolution across our organization specifically with onboarding and orchestration of virtualized network functions. As part of this team you will lead Verizon's network function onboarding portal and configuration automation platform roadmap, deliverables, and support.

Designing, developing, and implementing tools for cloud management and tenant onboarding. While identifying opportunities to automate manual work involved in onboarding the VNFs, using and contributing to creating the standards needed to automate onboarding, and automate manual work. Contributing to medium-to-large scale projects with minimal direction. Gathering requirements from stakeholders and developing strategies for implementation. Executing continuous integration, continuous deployment while leveraging DevOps best practices.

What we're looking for...


You'll need to have:

Bachelor's degree or four or more years of work experience. Six or more years of relevant experience required. Demonstrated through one or a combination of work and/or military experience, or specialized training. Experience in full stack software development. Familiarity with the software development lifecycle (SDLC) in an Agile environment. Proven experience in developing scalable and maintainable applications. Technical Experience (Strong proficiency in a Front-end: React, HTML5, CSS3, Back-end: Java (Spring Boot preferred, Databases: Relational databases (e.g., PostgreSQL, MySQL, Oracle) and/or NoSQL databases (e.g., MongoDB, Cassandra), APIs: RESTful API design and development, Cloud Platforms: Experience with cloud platforms (e.g., AWS, Azure, GCP) and containerization technologies (Docker, Kubernetes), Version Control: Git, CI/CD: Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines (e.g., Jenkins, GitLab CI, GitHub Actions). Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.

Even better if you have one or more of the following:

Use of configuration management tools such as Puppet, Chef, or Ansible, Jenkins Experience with designing and building complex, enterprise grade applications. Knowledge of cloud-native application architectures. Experience troubleshooting and triaging problem reports, and resolving and escalating as required.
