The Principal is the academic and administrative leader of Meridian School, Warangal City, responsible for driving academic excellence, student outcomes, staff performance, operational efficiency, and parent satisfaction in alignment with Meridian Schools' vision, values, and CBSE/international education standards.
Key Responsibilities1. Academic Leadership
Ensure high-quality teaching and learning practices across all grades.
Implement CBSE curriculum (or International curriculum if applicable) effectively.
Monitor lesson plans, assessments, classroom delivery, and learning outcomes.
Drive innovation in pedagogy, blended learning, and student-centric approaches.
Oversee academic planning, timetables, examinations, and result analysis.
Ensure compliance with CBSE/Board norms, inspections, and audits.
2. School Administration & Operations
Manage day-to-day school operations smoothly and efficiently.
Ensure adherence to school policies, SOPs, and statutory regulations.
Coordinate with HR, Finance, Admin, Transport, IT, and Facilities teams.
Monitor infrastructure, safety, hygiene, and campus discipline.
Oversee admissions, fee collection coordination, and student retention.
3. Staff Leadership & Performance Management
Lead, mentor, and evaluate teaching and non-teaching staff.
Conduct regular classroom observations and feedback sessions.
Implement Performance Management Systems (PMS) for staff.
Identify training needs and facilitate professional development programs.
Foster a positive, accountable, and collaborative work culture.
Ensure discipline and compliance with HR policies and code of conduct.
4. Student Development & Discipline
Promote holistic student development--academic, co-curricular, and extracurricular.
Ensure student discipline, safety, wellbeing, and child protection compliance.
Address student grievances and parent concerns in a professional manner.
Encourage participation in competitions, sports, and cultural activities.
5. Parent & Community Engagement
Build strong relationships with parents through PTMs, orientations, and regular communication.
Handle escalations and complaints with transparency and empathy.
Represent the school in community, academic, and external forums.
Strengthen the school's reputation and brand presence in Warangal City.
6. Admissions, Growth & Branding Support
Support admissions strategy and execution to achieve enrolment targets.
Collaborate with Marketing & Admissions teams for outreach programs.
Participate in open houses, walk-ins, and school promotion initiatives.
Provide market insights and feedback to management for growth planning.
7. Compliance, Governance & Reporting
Ensure compliance with CBSE, State Education Department, and statutory bodies (U-DISE, SARAS, OASIS, Fire, Safety, etc.).
Prepare and submit periodic reports to management on academics, operations, and staff performance.
Implement management directives and strategic initiatives at the school level.
Maintain confidentiality and ethical standards at all times.
Qualifications & Experience
Postgraduate degree
with
B.Ed / M.Ed
(mandatory).
Minimum
10-15 years of experience
in reputed CBSE/International schools.
At least
3-5 years of experience as Vice Principal / Principal
.
Strong exposure to CBSE affiliation processes and inspections.
Proficiency in school ERP systems and digital tools.
